Cipriani is looking forward to having a good pre-season
Wasps and England fly-half Danny Cipriani says he is hoping for an injury-free summer so he can hit the ground running next season.
The 21-year-old missed out on pre-season last summer after suffering a serious ankle injury.
Cipriani is hopeful of playing a part in England's tour to Argentina.
But he told BBC London 94.9: "Having a good, long pre-season and getting that fitness in does really help which, unfortunately, I didn't get last year."
Cipriani missed out on selection for the British and Irish Lions' tour to South Africa.
But he said he was fully focused on doing well on England's trip to South America.
"I'm going to keep myself fit and ready to go for the England tour," he said.
"I'm just enjoying myself again. I'm looking forward to having some time off and then coming back and getting into training with Wasps."
The stand-off also explained why he prefers rugby union to rugby league after being asked for a special programme comparing the two codes of the game.
He said: "It was the sport I played as a youngster because down south I don't think there's as much rugby league played as there is up north, so I never got much opportunity to play other rugby.
"My whole life has been rugby union so that's been what I love."
