London Irish have appointed former winger Justin Bishop as their new defence coach.

Bishop, who retired from playing in 2007, has been assistant manager of the academy for the past two seasons.

"The club has been a big part of my life and I am delighted that I am able to give something back," Bishop said.

Head coach Toby Booth added: "He has played an important role in organising our defence so is more than ready to take on this with the senior squad."

The club has also announced that recycling company Powerday will be their principal sponsor for the next three season.
