London Irish have strengthened their front row with the capture of Australian prop forward Dave Fitter.
The 28-year-old, capped twice, joins the Exiles from Western Force in Perth.
A delighted Fitter said: "I want to improve my skills and test them at the highest level in Europe, London Irish will enable me to do that."
London Irish's director of rugby, Brian Smith said: "Injuries can restrict your resources. That's why we've signed a player of Dave Fitter's talent."
Fitter, who has also played for ACT Brumbies, made his international debut against Ireland in 2005.
He will be available for London Irish's opening Premiership fixture against NEC Harlequins on September 2.
