MISCELLANEOUS STRADEY PARK FACTS & MEMORABLE EVENTS

Easter Monday 17 April, 1911 - Llanelli played two games on the same day, beating Northampton 6-5 and Leicester 6-3.
Thursday 19 December, 1912 - Gilbert Davies, the man believed to be the oldest surviving Scarlet, was born.
Other sports to have been played there include - Football, pushball, men's charity football (played with a rugby ball), women's football, rugby league.
Tuesday 31 October, 1972 - Ahead of Llanelli's historic 9-3 win against New Zealand a Cymanfa Ganu (traditional Welsh community singing festival) was held.
Friday 16 November, 2007 - The funeral service of one of Stradey's favourite sons, Ray Gravell, was held there.
