Leicester lock Richard Blaze says being called into the England squad has left him eager to repeat the experience.

Blaze, 24, was called up into Martin Johnson's squad for the autumn internationals but has been allowed to return to club duty this weekend.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "Getting called up was fantastic - I'm a very patriotic person and it's something I've always wanted to do.

"The buzz around the camp was great - all the guys were really welcoming."

Ben Kay will also play for Leicester against Northampton this weekend before returning to international duty on Monday.

Blaze confirmed: "They [England management] said I need to get some more game time, sharpen up a bit so I will play for Leicester this weekend and travel back down to London to join the boys."

Leicester face local rivals Northampton at Welford Road on Saturday.
