Tigers arrange Munster friendly

Leicester

Leicester Tigers will host fellow two-time European champions Munster in a pre-season match on Friday, 28 August.

Head coach Richard Cockerill believes the fixture will provide a perfect test ahead of the Premiership opening-day trip to Sale on Friday, 4 September.

"We've enjoyed some big games against Munster," Cockerill said. "They are one of the biggest clubs in European rugby.

"There should be a decent Bank Holiday weekend crowd. It should be an excellent occasion."
