Tigers sign new sponsorship deal

Leicester

Leicester Tigers have signed a five-year multi-million pound sponsorship deal with US-based construction giant Caterpillar.

The deal means Caterpillar will be the club's sole playing kit sponsor and get naming rights to the new North Stand.

Tigers chief executive Peter Wheeler said he was "delighted".

He said: "The introduction of such a respected, global brand into the sport reflects well on the quality and development of the Premiership."

A spokesman for Caterpillar said: "The UK has been a home for Caterpillar for over 50 years and it started here in Leicestershire, so we are delighted to be partnering with the Tigers, the leading brand in club rugby."
