Bryan Redpath now has a contract at Gloucester until the summer of 2012
Gloucester head coach Bryan Redpath says he has offered contracts to all the players he wants to keep at the club next season.
Mike Tindall, Dave Attwood, Paul Doran-Jones, Nicky Robinson and Andy Hazell are among those whose deals are up.
Redpath told BBC Gloucestershire: "We will be as competitive as we can. If a player gets an exceptional offer, we must decide if we go to that level."
"I think we're on the right track and we must commit to the right things."
Redpath - who confirmed to BBC Gloucestershire that his own deal now runs until 2012 - added that it was a time of the year when his efforts were being increasingly split between coaching and talking to agents, especially with players out of contract this summer being able to talk freely to other clubs.
"I want a strong squad. Offers have been made and those players have decisions to make.
"They've got people to scout round other clubs for them, and it's the same old cat and mouse situation. I think we'll be competitive enough to get good players at this club."
"I've got to try and sell Gloucester in terms of where we've gone over the last 16 months and where we need to be for the next 16 months. Some we'll lose and some will go, but that's the nature of the beast."
The former Scotland skipper first joined Gloucester's coaching staff under Dean Ryan in 2005.
And he has been in sole charge now for more than 18 months, since replacing Ryan in June 2009.
