Fuimaono-Sapolu will add phsyical presence to the Gloucester side
Gloucester have signed Samoa international back Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu from Premiership rivals Bath.
The 28-year-old, who started all of Samoa's matches at the 2007 World Cup, can play either centre or fly-half.
"We've been looking to increase our physicality across the team and Eliota adds that," head coach Dean Ryan told the Gloucester website.
"But he also possesses good speed and has quick hands, so brings other things to the table."
Fuimaono-Sapolu spent three-and-a-half seasons at Bath after initially joining the club on a short-term contract but is looking forward to a fresh challenge.
"I've played at Kingsholm as a visiting player and it's a great atmosphere. I'm really looking forward to playing in front of that support every other week.
"I've enjoyed my time at Bath but it's a fantastic set up at Gloucester and I can't wait for the new season to start," he said.
Fuimaono-Sapolu fills a gap in the squad created by the departures of fly-half Ryan Lamb, who has joined London Irish, and centre Anthony Allen.
