Mieres was man of the match on his Chiefs debut in November
Exeter Chiefs' Argentine fly-half Ignacio Mieres has agreed a new one-year contract with the club.
The 24-year-old, who scored 11 points against Wasps on Saturday, joined Exeter from Deportiva Francesa in Argentina in October.
Having landed 19 points on his debut in the LV= Cup victory over Wasps in November, he had to wait until April for his first Premiership start.
That came in the club's away win over Sale Sharks when he kicked 10 points.
The Argentina international will battle Gareth Steenson and newcomer Myles Dorrian for the number 10 shirt next season.
Mieres said: "I am really happy to have signed - I knew I wanted to stay."
