Edinburgh centre Ben Cairns has signed a new two-year deal with the Magners
League club.
The versatile Cairns has scored five tries in 16 games, after working his way through the Edinburgh youth ranks.
He said: "I'm an Edinburgh boy so I'm really glad to be staying with Edinburgh.
"This season could not have gone any better and hopefully next season will
carry on in the same vein."
The 21-year-old recently made his first appearance for Scotland A in the 13-7 victory over Italy at McDiarmid Park.

Cairns, who has played in five positions in his first season as a professional, continued: "To be in the starting line-up so often has been great.
"I have definitely improved as a player, working full-time with the other guys.
Edinburgh head coach Lynn Howells said: "It is important to have young Scottish talent in the squad and Ben has shown he's more than capable of playing both Magners League and European rugby."
