Meehan expects to announce a new signing in the next few days.
Bath are poised to make further additions to their squad, according to head coach Steve Meehan.
The club have recently signed back row forwards Luke Watson from South Africa and Julian Salvi from Australia.
This follows the exit of Justin Harrison, Michael Lipman, Alex Crockett and Andrew Higgins.
"We've got one we're hoping to announce in the next few days and there's one other we keep chasing," Meehan told BBC Radio Bristol.
"We're looking for the right player, the player that's going to suit us, both from a character point of view and abilities point of view.
"It's not always easy when you set such strict conditions."
Changes at Bath haven't been restricted to the playing staff, with Martin Haag announced as the new forwards coach this week. Bob Calleja is also being replaced as chief executive by Nick Blofeld.
They are changes that Meehan sees as a positive.
"That provides for exciting times too, enthusiasm and different approaches through different experiences - I'm looking forward to it," he said.
And the club have added to their staff with performance coach John Neal coming in on a part-time basis.
Neal will help in aspects of motivation and development, as he has done with the England cricket team and the RFU's coaching panel.
Meehan said: "We will draw on all of John's experience to give us the best chance of winning."
