Skirving made his Saracens debut at the back end of the 2001/02 season
Saracens number eight Ben Skirving has signed a two-year deal with Bath.
The 25-year-old, who won an England cap on the 2007 summer tour to South Africa, came through the Sarries ranks.
But he was one of 15 players told they could leave the club in February and Steve Meehan is pleased to have landed a player who is yet to reach his peak.
"He is well known and respected for his hard work and dependability and he is another player that we believe will improve," said head coach Meehan.
"He has not yet reached his peak and I look forward to seeing him do that."
Skirving said: "I have always admired Bath Rugby and all its tradition.
"They have had a good season this year, have big ambitions for the future and I really want to be a part of that.
"They are striving for the best right now and I am really looking forward to joining the club at the start of next season."
