Bath have confirmed the signing of scrum-half Scott Bemand from Leicester Tigers on a two-year deal.
Although he has been sidelined this season through injury, Bemand insists that he is making excellent progress in his drive for full fitness.
"It has been a long haul getting back to fitness but I am on track," he told the Bath website.
"I still have a burning ambition to play at the top level and I will be giving it everything I can."
The 29-year-old, who follows former Tigers Justin Harrison and Stuart Hooper in signing for the West Country club, added: "I would also like to thank everyone at Leicester Tigers as I really enjoyed my time there and I am especially grateful for all their help in the last year while undergoing rehab."

Bemand has made 69 appearances for Leicester, and was a key member of the Tigers squad that won the Premiership and EDF Cup double last season before sustaining a knee injury whilst playing against Bath earlier in the year.
Bath head coach Steve Meehan is confident that the new signing will bolster Bath's squad for next season.
"We have been watching Scott for some time now. He first caught my eye when I was still at Stade Francais and he was with Harlequins, and I was very impressed with his performances there.
"He reminded me of how dangerous he is when he scored a great individual try against us at the Rec last season.
"I want to see him bring that same speed, energy and competitiveness that I have always seen, with him here to the Rec."
