Methody captain Niall Annett celebrates with the Schools' Cup trophy
Centre Michael Allen scored two tries in the Northern Bank Schools' Cup final for the second year running as Methodist College retained the trophy.
Allen's powerful dart to the right-hand corner in the 16th minute helped Methody to an 11-0 half-time advantage.
He then pounced on a dropped Inst pass and ran from his own half for a breakaway score after 26 minutes of the second half at Ravenhill.
It was a 32nd outright victory for Methody in their 60th final.
Methody never looked like surrendering the lead once centre Paddy Robinson had opened the scoring with an 11th-minute penalty.
The first try came in the 16th minute when Methody recycled ball and fed the pacey Allen who fended off several opponents on is way to the corner.
Robinson just missed the touchline conversion but Methody were very much on top as Inst struggled to get first-phase ball.
Inst looked capable of reducing the deficit as they made an encouraging start to the second half.
But they suffered a set back as persistent infringing saw Zak Welshman sin-binned.
While the flanker was on the bench, Allen scored his second try with another powerful run after an Inst error.
Tempers flared late on and Patrick McKee (Methody) and David McGovern (RBAI) took the yellow card tally to three.
