Humphreys wants matters resolved
David Humphreys
Humphreys says players want some certainty for the future
Veteran fly-half David Humphreys relayed the feelings of the Ulster squad after their 29-0 Magners League hammering by Leinster on Wednesday.

"I think we will be hard-pressed to find any positives from that performance," said Humphreys.

"The last few months has been very tough, but from an Ulster point of view this is probably as low as it has been.

"In the last few months, there's been no certainty, nobody knows from one week to the next what is happening."

It appears that Australian Matt Williams has asked for more time to consider the offer made to him by Ulster Rugby to take over as coach from Mark McCall who resigned as far back as 13 November.

"The last few months have been difficult following the change in coaching," said Humphreys.

"It's very easy to say that it's not the players responsibility, but there are a number who have different options.

"For that reason everybody wants some certainty so that they can look forward and salvage something for the rest of the season."

Ulster are still at the bottom of the Magners League and have yet to win a match in the Heineken Cup this season.
