Ulster's Heineken Cup hopes suffered a huge blow after Llanelli Scarlets achieved a brilliant 41-34 away victory over Toulouse on Saturday.
Ulster's win over London Irish had reignited Mark McCall's side hopes
The win means Llanelli maintain their 100 per cent record in the group and one more win in their final two games will ensure their quarter-final place.
Even if Ulster win their final two matches, it is highly unlikely to be enough to claim a qualification spot.
The best two second place teams in the pools will make the quarter-finals.
Llanelli recovered from being 31-10 down early in the second half to stun the former European champions who are definitely out of this year's competition.
Ulster now must hope to achieve bonus-point wins against the Scarlets and Toulouse in January and hope that Llanelli also slip up at home against London Irish.
