Clockwatch: Lions 25-25 Argentina
All the action as it happened at the Millennium Stadium.

FULL TIME: The Pumas are robbed of a famous victory by a last gasp penalty from Wilkinson but they are celebrating as if they won. Plenty for the Lions to work on during that long flight to New Zealand.

80+ mins: PENALTY Wilkinson slots the kick over and snatches a draw for the Lions.

80+ min: Pumas' scrum on their own 22, and they clear to touch under pressure. Lions lineout, Horgan on the charge, penalty for hands in the ruck. Wilkinson now has a pressure kick to tie the game. This must be the last kick of the game.

80+ mins Lions pepper the Pumas' 22 but make little headway. Shortside the Lions go, Murphy makes the opening but his pass to D'Arcy does not go to hand.

80+ mins: Lions look to counter quickly, and they get the scrum. But the Pumas win the next feed. But the Lions produce another big scrum and get the next feed.

80 mins: Referee asks the captains to control their teams. Lions opt to kick to the corner again. The catch and drive once more, then they spin, Williams almost through, D'Arcy penalised at the break down and the Pumas clear their lines. Five minutes of stoppage time to come.

79 mins: The catch and drive from the Lions, advantage Lions, Corry crashes in, back we come for the original penalty.

78 mins: Pumas penalised, and Wilkinson kicks to the corner as the Lions go for the win.

76 mins: O'Callaghan claims in the lineout this time, D'Arcy is held up on the 22, poor pass from WIlliams puts Wilkinson under pressure, Pumas scrum.

75 mins: Then the second surge comes, Horgan does well, Corry spills the ball and the Pumas clear, but it is sliced into touch.

74 mins: Todeschini forced to leave the field with an injury. He is replaced by Lopez Fleming. Lions win at the lineout, they attempt the drive into the 22, defence holds.

73 mins: Kay wins at the lineout, Pumas' defence up sharply, ball is stolen. Kick charged down by Corry but the bounce goes the Pumas' way and they clear.

72 mins: Pumas penalised for a high tackle. Wilkinson takes the game to the Pumas' 22.

71 mins: Thompson on for Byrne and Kay on for Grewcock for the Lions.

69 mins: Loose lineout, knocked on by Argentina. Lions scrum on their own 10m line. D'Arcy penalised for holding on after the Lions had worked it wide. No support when he needed it.

67 mins: PENALTY Wilkinson slots this one over from straight in front of the posts.
Lions 22-25 Argentina

66 mins: Wilkinson again breaks the gain line, and they eventually get the penalty for an early tackle.

65 mins: Lions win the drop out, Wilkinson creates a half break for Cusiter who injects some pace, Lions over halfway, Hickie runs out of room out wide.

64 mins: Genoud with the pick and drive, Pumas recycle, Todeschini with the drop goal attempt but this one is way off the mark.

62 mins: Hickie spills the ball as the Lions look to move the ball off the lineout. Lions scramble but the Pumas get the put in inside the 22. Horgan enters the fray to replace Smith.

60 mins: Cusiter on for Cooper for the Lions. Murphy with a kick and chase, gets good bounce, he finds Williams but his chip ahead is bundled into touch.

59 mins: PENALTY Todeschini stretches the lead.

58 mins: Great driving maul from the Pumas takes them deep into the Lions' half. Lions penalised again, Fernandez Miranda applauds his forwards for their efforts.

57 mins: The crowd, obviously concerned, try to rally their team.

55 mins: White is on for the Lions to replace Hayes. Lions penalised at the scrum for driving after the whistle. PENALTY Todeschini puts the the Pumas into the lead again.
Lions 19-22 Argentina

53 mins: Attacking lineout for the Pumas on the Lions' 22. Good drive but they knock on to give the scrum to the Lions.

51 mins: Lions continue to try and lift the tempo but again they lose the ball. Bouza is tackled into touch.

49 mins: PENALTY Wilkinson opts to once again go for the posts and his kick is good. The scores are tied.
Lions 19-19 Argentina

48 mins: Corry breaks the line, support from Wilkinson and Rowntree but the Pumas spoil as they scramble back.

47 mins: Pumas go blindside before recycling inside, but their handling lets them down.

46 mins: Piossek beats a couple of tacklers, recycled well, Ledesma on the crash ball, Piossek puts the ball down as the Pumas threatened the Lions' line.

45 mins: Murphy finds a bit of space, but the ball is stolen, Todeschini is bundled into touch.

44 mins: Pumas's scrum on the Lions' 10m line. But they are penalised, Cooper goes quickly with the tap and go. Looks like they want to increase the pace of the game.

42 mins: Scrappy lineout, lost forward by the Lions. Pumas' scrum. Murphy cleans up a kick into the 22. Knock on by the Lions.

40 mins: Pumas get the second half underway, Corry claims well, and Schusterman is penalised for not rolling away. Wilkinson takes the game upfield.

Half-time: The Pumas hold a narrow advantage and the Lions have plenty of things to work on after a very disappointing first half.

40+ mins: PENALTY With the last kick of the half Wilkinson notches three more.
Lions 16-19 Argentina

40+ mins: Pumas still full of ideas, forward pass when the Lions were lacking numbers. Williams and Murphy make big gains soon after, Hickie into the 22, Owen's pass goes to no-one, but the Pumas are called for off-side.

40+ mins: Lions scrum on their own 22, Wilkinson kicks long, Stortoni with the chip and chase return, Lions recover the ball. Wilkinson clears to touch.

40 mins: Pumas penalised at the scrum for breaking away. A let off for the Lions and Wilkinson finds touch this time. Pumas's defence holds firm on halfway and the snaffle the ball away. Todeschini kicks long, Williams tidies up.

39 mins: Lions struggle to clear the ball, knock on called against the Pumas.

38 mins: Lions get the advantage, and the penalty finally comes. Once again the home team opt for the posts. PENALTY Wilkinson keeps his side in the game.
Lions 13-19 Argentina

37 mins: Wilkinson pushes the ball into the corner for the lineout. Grewcock claims, the Lions attempt the drive, Pumas pull the maul down, recycled well, Williams proves elusive.

35 mins: Wilkinson once again offers the Pumas the chance to counter by not opting for touch. Byrne penalised at the ruck after the Pumas ran the ball back well. PENALTY Todeschini punishes the Lions for their latest indescretion with a superb penalty.
Lions 10-19 Argentina

33 mins: Piossek is proving a constant threat, but the Lions are leaving plenty of gaps for him to exploit. Wilkinson is back to call the mark on this occasion.

31 mins: Lions attacking lineout, Cooper snipes, Lions look for quick ball, penalty for offside against the Pumas. PENALTY Wilkinson slots over an easy three as a sign of respect for the visitors.
Lions 10-16 Argentina

29 mins: Lions snatch the lineout ball, Wilkinson opts to kick straight down the middle again, the kick is returned, then it's a chip and chase for Williams but Ledesma just just enough to see the ball into touch.

27 mins: Pumas come up with the ball from the scrum, recycled into midfield, Contepomi wriggles close, supported by his forwards, but Owen turns the ball over and Wilkinson clears.

26 mins: Pumas spin wide to Piossek, but a knock on brings an end to another promising attack. Generous applause from the home crowd.

25 mins: Lions lineout on halfway, they catch and spin but D'Arcy spills the ball and the Pumas look to counter.

24 min: Lions working hard to keep the ball alive on halfway, Wilkinson with the probing kick into the 22, Stortoni clears to touch.

22 mins: Big scrum from the Pumas, Lions penalised for standing up. PENALTY Todeschini adds three more to his tally.

20 mins: Kicks exchanged from the re-start. Tempers threaten to boil over.

18 mins: CONVERSION Wilkinson adds the extras.
Lions 7-13 Argentina

17 mins: The Lions yet to win a re-start. A sliced clearance gives them an attacking lineout though. They drive into the 22, good footwork from Wilkinson puts Smith into a gap and he's over for a good try. TRY

16 mins: PENALTY Todeschini takes advantage of the latest Lions error to stretch his side's lead.

15 mins: Smith penalised for not releasing after being tackled by Contepomi. The Lions are not getting much change out of the Pumas at the moment. Plenty of food for thought for Woodward and co.

14 mins: Fernandez Miranda makes good gains before a knock on lets the Pumas down.

13 mins: Cooper darts up the short side but he is forced into touch.

12 mins: Murphy resorts to the boot to find touch on halfway. Argentina playing the territorial game very well. Smith forces the ball loose with a good tackle. Lions get the scrum on halfway.

10 mins: Argentina turnover inside their own 22 to snuff out a Lions attack.

8 mins: CONVERSION Todeschini adds the extras.
Lions 0-10 Argentina

7 mins: Pumas build again on the half-way line, Lions struggling to get their hands on the ball. Contepomi takes advantage of some space offered by the Lions defence. TRY Piossek dots down in the corner for the first try of the game.
Lions 0-8 Argentina

5 mins: Hanging drop out from Wilkinson, Pumas secure possession, Lions penalised for coming in from the side. PENALTY Todeschini opens the scoring.
Lions 0-3 Argentina

3 mins: Contepomi finds room behind the Lions and kicks to find a good touch inside the 22. Lions claim through O'Callaghan, they drive well and clear.

1 min: All eyes on Wilkinson as he gets the game underway for the Lions. The kick goes high and short, the Pumas claim and Todeschini clears to touch.

1930: Kick off delayed until 2000BST for security reasons. A bumper crowd expected here for the beginning of the eagerly anticipated Lions tour.

A largely second string team, captained by Wales' Michael Owen, will take to the field for the first ever Lions match played at 'home' as the quest for Test places begins.

Facing them is a depleted Pumas squad, missing 25 players through club commitments.

This evening will also see the first public airing of "The Power of Four", the specially commissioned official song of the Lions.
