Leinster's Felipe Contepomi will captain Argentina against the Lions in Monday's Millennium Stadium Test.
Contepomi and Lisandro Arbizu are the star names in a back line for a team that has lost lost over two dozen players to injuries and club duties.
Mauricio Reggiardo, Mario Ledesma and Federico Mendez form a formidable front row, though, with the Pumas expected to pose their usual physical challenge.
The match will be the Lions' first in Britain since 1986 at the Arms Park.
"To be realistic, I do know if we've got much chance of winning," said Contepomi.
"But over and above the result, I'd be happy if this team, with new players, a bunch of young players, maintained the Pumas style, the same passion, loyalty and sacrifice."
