Scotland U21 7-31 Wales U21
Wales Under-21s stayed on course for a Grand Slam with a 31-7 over their Scottish counterparts in Aberdeen.

Recalled Wales scrum-half James Ireland claimed a satisfying try, having missed much of the year through injury.

James Merriman, Aled Brew, Chris Davies and Rhys James also crossed for tries, with fly-half Matthew Jones adding two conversions and Aled Thomas one.

Wales must now see off the challenge of Ireland next Friday at Neath's Gnoll ground to claim the junior Grand Slam.

"I was very pleased with that performance in difficult, blizzard conditions," said Wales coach Chris Davey.

"We knew that the first half would be big, and for the boys to turn around 19-7 after playing into the wind was outstanding.

"We've got such an exciting squad and now there's the potential for a Grand Slam. It's going to be a big week."
