FULL-TIME: Scotland have nothing to show for a brave display in Paris and a poor France side collect the points they barely deserve.

78 mins: TRY Simon Danielli puts Scotland in trouble when he dithers in possession and is caught out. Hugo Southwell's kick is then charged down and Damien Traille collects to carry the ball over the line. Frederic Michalak converts.

75 mins: Chris Paterson's penalty attempt from long distance drops agonisingly short of the posts as Scotland look to hit back.

73 mins: DROP GOAL The French are camped along the Scots try-line and Yann Delaigue knocks the ball over the posts to draw the game level.
France 9-9 Scotland

70 mins: After a period of heavy pressure France are given a penalty for offside and Jon Petrie is shown a yellow card. Scotland are down to 14 men for the rest of the match but survive a series of scrums.

67 mins: Scotland are denied a try when a touch judge rules that Ali Hogg's boot touched the touch-line before he crashed over.

62 mins: Scotland number 10 Dan Parks makes a terrible mess of a drop goal effort after some great driving work from flanker Jason White.

57 mins: The momentum is now firmly with the the home side and a great break from Yann Delaigue is brought to a halt by a brilliant Chris Cusiter tackle.

53 mins: PENALTY Yann Delaigue misses a drop goal attempt but the same player then knocks over a penalty after Scotland skipper Gordon Bulloch foolishly handles while on the ground.

48 mins: PENALTY Scotland full-back Chris Paterson is punished for not giving the French possession after conceding a line-out and this time Yann Delaigue knocks over an easy kick.
France 3-9 Scotland

42 mins: PENALTY France are penalised for pulling down a maul and Chris Paterson lands a simple kick.
France 0-9 Scotland

41 mins: A chorus of jeers greets the French as they emerge for the second half.

Half time: Scotland endure a heavy spell of French pressure to preserve their unlikely lead at the break.

37 mins: PENALTY The French are caught offside after a great break from scrum-half Chris Cusiter and Chris Paterson doubles Scotland's advantage.

35 mins: Damien Traille takes over the kicking duties for France but makes a terrible hash of a penalty from distance and Scotland stay in front.

32 mins: France start moving the ball around with menace for the first time but the Scottish defence holds firm.

27 mins: Scotland's Andy Craig is penalised for not releasing the ball but Damien Traille misses his second straightforward penalty attempt with a poor effort.

20 mins: The French are caught offside but Chris Paterson misses the penalty kick.

18 mins: Dan Parks makes a mess of a drop goal attempt after a great drive from the Scottish forwards.

16 mins: Scotland steal the ball and set up a promising break but lock Stuart Grimes lacks the pace to escape the home defence.

15 mins: The home crowd are quiet after a stuttering start from the French.

6 mins: The reigning Grand Slam champions miss a chance to draw level when Yann Delaigue misses a penalty from just outside the 22.

3 mins: France respond immediately with a surging run from Christophe Dominici but Sean Lamont and Stuart Grimes combine to halt the winger just short of the line.

2 mins: PENALTY Chris Paterson kicks Scotland into an early lead from 40 yards.

1405 GMT Scotland's Dan Parks kicks off the action at the Stade de France.

Scotland go looking for their first win in Paris since their famous 1999 triumph.

Hugo Southwell moves from full-back to inside centre, with Chris Paterson reverting to number 15 and centre Andy Craig is recalled.

Simon Danielli, Tom Smith and Scott Murray all return after injury, while fit-again Ali Hogg is at number eight.

The French have made major changes, with a lot of unfamiliar names in the side.
