Romania have named nine French-based players in their side to face Wales at the Millennium Stadium on Friday.
But Perpignan flanker Ovidiu Tonitsa has been ruled out with a knee injury as Romania look for an unlikely third win over Wales in eight matches.
"It will be good experience for us to play against a high level team," said technical director Robert Antonin.
"We were impressed by Wales' performance against South Africa and their tour in Argentina last summer."
He added: "This match is very good preparation for us before we play Japan and then the main game against the Czech Republic in the European Championship in February."
Romania will field 12 of the side that snatched a shock 25-24 win over Italy in Bucharest last June.
