Scotland A select Weir
The 32-year-old Borders star is currently sidelined after damaging his ribs in a car crash. Weir, who has 61 senior caps to his name, last featured in the international set-up two years ago. Glasgow prop David Hilton is another old stager named by coach Hugh Campbell. Hilton is also 32 and has made 42 appearances at senior level. Other experienced players in the 24-man pool include Duncan Hodge, James McLaren, Matt Stewart and Jason White, while Jon Petrie is named after damaging his thumb on duty for Glasgow. Full back Stuart Moffat, who impressed for the senior side during the Autumn Tests, is given a chance to stake a claim for promotion to the Six Nations team.
