Hansen praises Welsh determination
Wales captain Colin Charvis
Hansen was pleased with the second-half performance
Wales coach Steve Hansen expressed his satisfaction with the way his inexperienced team rallied to break down a determined Romanian effort at Wrexham.

He felt his side got their act together in the second half and had done enough to build their confidence ahead of next week's Test against Fiji in Cardiff.

"The Romanians came to play and their scrambling defence is as good as any in the world," said Hansen.

"The boys stuck to their task, they were under pressure and they grew into it as a team."

Michael Owen
Wales' line-out struggled despite the extra options at the tail
The Wales coach was concerned about the organisational side of Wales' play, particularly the wayward line-outs.

"The set piece wasn't great," said Hansen, "It's about getting used to each other, new jumpers and throwers.

"It wasn't top drawer, but we're happy with the win. We only had five days preparation.

"The boys will have gained confidence and will look to improve against Fiji.

"We are heading towards the World Cup and we picked the squad with that in mind.

"We are seeing what player base we have got and looking at various combinations."
