Marshall: A tough job well done
New Zealand's Justin Marshall

If you take one incident out of last week's game it was another good game of rugby.

It was pretty free-flowing, there were plenty of tries, but the spectator coming onto the field has probably overshadowed what was a good game.

But it should not detract from how we performed.

I've been on the receiving end of an Australian side that win games they should not

Back in New Zealand everyone is very positive about how we have played in the Tri-Nations, and barring one penalty we could have won all of our games.

You always say never let South Africa get off to a good start because they are a side who play on a huge amount of passion at home.

But the good thing about this All Black side is that there is a lot of belief and character.

They got the first try, but we dominated from then on.

There has been plenty of talk about the penalty try we were awarded.

From my point of view I thought Tana Umaga was going to score, and if he wasn't going to score our winger was.

I guess it was a 50-50 call, it is pretty difficult to say either way, but the referee made up his mind.

We were just relieved to win and decided after the game not to dwell on the incidents.

We had a beer and reflected on what has been a tough campaign for us.

We have won seven out of eight in three months and we focussed on that rather than the chances against South Africa.

Umaga was involved in the controversy

The pressure is on Australia this weekend and they are going to have to play really well to win as well as achieve some other goals.

I will be in front of the TV watching the game with my new-born son.

We feel we have done all we can, we have not made it easy for Australia but they do have a chance.

I don't think they will score four tries, but I do think they will win simply because of the team they are.

I have been on the receiving end for the past three or four years of an Australian side that win games they should not.

I must admit I have not really followed the case with Ben Tune.

I think it is a case of him, Australian Rugby Union and the others involved approaching the issue really seriously.

He is facing two years out of the game from what I understand, and if I was in his shoes I would not be feeling too comfortable at the moment.

Really thrilled

There is a case to be made that he should not have played against us, but I was not concerned about it going into the game and do not have any problems with him playing.

But if they offered me the chance to play the last minute and half of our game then I would be more than happy.

We would be really thrilled to win the Tri-Nations - it would great to get something out of the season.

But while it would put the smile back on our faces, we will still be bitterly disappointed not to have added the Bledisloe Cup.

People hold the Bledisloe Cup in high esteem over here and we were very disappointed at losing the game.
