All the action as it happened as an experimental England team clinch a famous victory over Argentina in Buenos Aires.

2125 BST: The referee blows the final whistle as England's experimental team celebrate a superb win.

79 min: A frantic last few minutes to the match as Argentina throw caution to the wind and press for the try. But England's defence stays strong. Great tackling in particular from Alex Sanderson.

76 min: After some debate with Charlie Hodgson, Tim Stimpson steps up to take a penalty kick from the half-way line. It proves to be a correct decision as Stimpson kicks superbly to put his team eight points in front.
Argentina 18-26 England

73 min: Ledesma receives treatment after picking up an injury in a clash with Appleford.

71 min: Penalty to Argentina. Quesada narrows England's lead to five points.
Argentina 18-23 England

69 min: Now it is Argentina's turn to try and relieve the English pressure as Quesada kicks the ball deep into England's half.

66 min: England penalty. Charlie Hodgson ignores the boos of the home crowd to give England an eight point lead.
Argentina 15-23 England

62 min: The referee has to have a word with Stimpson and Hasan after the Argentine overreacts to a swipe by the English man.

58 min: Phil Christophers breaks through the Argentina defence after some great work by the forwards, to score on his England debut. Hodgson kicks a successful conversion.
Argentina 15-20 England

55 min: Kay spots the gap and breaks through the Argentina defence. But Mendez fouls Kay, preventing the try, and somehow escapes the sin-bin. Hodgson is successful with the penalty kick.
Argentina 15-13 England

51 min: A great tackle from Albanese after another break by Christophers. But the referee penalises the English man for holding on to the ball. Quesada kicks his fifth successful penalty.
Argentina 15-10 England

48 min: Christophers chases a kick deep into the Argentina half but Longo gets to the ball first during a good spell from England.

44 min: Ben Kay scores the first try of the match as he burst through the Argentina defence. Charlie Hodgson puts his two previous misses behind him and successfully kicks the conversion.
Argentina 12-10 England

43 min: Argentina make their first change, replacing Alvarez with Ostiglia.

41 min: Hodgson hoofs the ball down field and into touch to relieve the early Argentina pressure.

2045 BST: Argentina's Quesada gets the second half under way.

2030 BST: Quesada's missed kick proves to be the last action of an eventful half as the referee blows for the break.

40 min: Argentina win another penalty after some feverish tackling from England. But Quesada misses the kick from the 10 yard line.

39 min: Cross-field kick from Hodgson but a great catch from Albanese under pressure from Stimpson.

37 min: England fail to take advantage of a scrum five yards out. Longo again saves Argentina as England begin to apply some pressure.

33 min: Quesada is giving a demonstration of kicking that the absent Jonny Wilkinson would be proud of as he puts Argentina nine points ahead. Steve Thompson was penalised for misuse of the foot.
Argentina 12-3 England

30 min: England give a penalty away and Argentina's Quesada is successful with a straightforward kick.
Argentina 9-3 England

26 min: Ferocious tackling by Argentina as Thompson is thrown into touch. England cannot relieve the pressure deep in their own half.

24 min: Good defence by England as they force Quesada to kick deep and into touch.

23 min: Infringement at the ruck by England's Ben Kay. Quesada kicks the ball into touch.

20 min: Argentina penalty near the half-way line after a foul by Thompson on Mendez. Quesada again steps forward, and is again successful with the kick.
Argentina 6-3 England

18 min: England penalty after Argentina take the line-out too quickly. Hodgson comes close with the kick, but the ball goes just wide.

15 min: Argentina penalty. Quesada levels the scores with the resulting kick.
Argentina 3-3 England

13 min: Joe Worsley wins an England line-out, but the visitors can't capitalise.

9 min: Hodgson misses a straightforward kick after the ref awards a penalty. The ball drifts to the left of the post.

8 min: England scrum but the ref blows for an England penalty. Hodgson kicks the ball into touch.

6 min: Charlie Hodgson kicks England ahead.
Argentina 0-3 England

3 min: England come close to scoring the opening try of the match. Johnston is tackled after being released by Hodgson but is not held and gets up before finally being tackled just before the line.

2045 BST: England get the match underway.
