Wales captain Gareth Thomas warmed up for next Sunday's Heineken Cup final with two tries for Toulouse in their 47-20 league win at home to Castres.

The result moved the double European champions to third place and virtually assured them a top four play-off place.

Toulouse are now two points ahead of fourth-place Biarritz, and eight points ahead of fifth-place Perpignan with just two games to go.

But fly-half Frederic Michalak could miss the Murrayfield final with injury.

The influential play-maker limped off in the 34th minute of Saturday's game.

Stade Francais warmed up for the final with a 29-24 win over Narbonne.

The victory, coupled with Bourgoin's defeat at Grenoble, took the defending champions to the top of the league.
