Leinster ended a run of six straight defeats as they edged out bottom side Borders at Donnybrook.

Scrum-half Brian O'Meara kicked 15 points as Leinster scored four tries through Brendan Burke, Niall Ronan and a late brace from James Norton.

The home side led 20-12 at the break despite Borders scores for flanker Craig Dunlea and centre Jono Stuart.

Leinster raced clear in the second half as Borders struggled after losing Clark Laidlaw and Stuart to the sin-bin.
