Bristol bring in Samoa international centre Fautua Otto

Otto is expected to link up with Samoa at the World Cup in New Zealand

Bristol have signed outside centre Fautua Otto for the 2011/12 campaign.

The 25-year-old scored for Samoa in their autumn international defeat to England at Twickenham in November 2010.

And head coach Liam Middleton has been keeping tabs on Otto on the sevens circuit, where he helped his country claim the IRB Sevens title in 2010.

"He's been one of the best players on the world sevens series and is a fantastic talent," Middleton told BBC Radio Bristol.

"He will be a good pairing with Junior Fatialofa, brings a lot of pace, a good stepping ability, good distribution and is a real physical player. He's an exciting signing."

Otto is expected to be part of Samoa's World Cup squad in New Zealand and should be free to link up with Bristol from mid-October.
