Glen Jackson kicked 18 points as Saracens comfortably defeated rock-bottom Bristol in the Premiership.
Saracens took the lead with a superbly crafted try for Kameli Ratuvou but the hosts hit back through David Lemi's converted score.
An Adrian Jarvis penalty gave Bristol a 10-5 lead but Sarries went in front through five Jackson penalties.
Ed Barnes narrowed the gap with two penalties but a Jackson drop-goal ensured Saracens were not overhauled.
Bristol boss Richard Hill:
"If we were playing terribly, you would have to worry.
"Obviously we are disappointed to lose, but we played some very good rugby and it might have been different had a couple of kicks gone over.
"If we keep playing like that then we will win some matches."
Saracens boss Eddie Jones:
"A lot of our boys have never won at Bristol before.
"It was scratchy, but we showed a bit of grit and you have got to to win those sort of games.
"A win down here is a good result, and I thought that Glen Jackson's control of the game was pretty good once again."
