Club-by-club guide - London Irish
Shane Geraghty and Exiles boss Toby Booth

Head coach: Toby Booth
Captain:
Bob Casey
Ground: Madejski Stadium (24,100 capacity)
Last season:
GP - 7th HC - semi-finals
England elite squad: 3 (Geraghty, Richards, Kennedy)

A summer of upheaval at the Madejski, where Toby Booth steps up to the top job and Mike Catt takes on greater coaching repsonsibiliites after the departure of the highly-regarded Brian Smith to England.

The Premiership's great entertainers may have reached the Heineken Cup semi-finals last season but a poor start in the league hampered their bid to make the play-offs.

There have been few arrivals this summer, former Sale centre Elvis Seveali'i being the most notable, and Booth says getting fly-half cover, in addition to the talented Shane Geragthy (left), is a priority.

"The prerequisite is to re-qualify for the Heineken Cup. That's a minimum standard with the quality of our squad. We have the ability to beat anyone, home or away, but we have to strive for consistency pre-Christmas. We have had very good campaigns after Christmas every year but have made life difficult for ourselves."
