Seven new caps in England squad
Gloucester centre Anthony Allen
Allen will be hoping to make his England debut next month
England coach Andy Robinson has named seven uncapped players in a 30-man squad for the international against New Zealand at Twickenham on 5 November.

Gloucester backs Anthony Allen and Olly Morgan and Wasps pair Tom Rees and Paul Sackey are all called up.

They are joined by Sale prop Stuart Turner, Newcastle fly-half Toby Flood and Bristol scrum-half Shaun Perry.

The captaincy announcement will be made on Monday when Robinson will name his starting line-up.

After New Zealand and Argentina, England play two Tests against 2007 World Cup pool rivals South Africa.

"The squad includes a good mix of experience and also gives an opportunity for some of the newcomers to the elite squad to push further their claims for a starting place at some point during the four Test matches," said Robinson.

"I will amend and add to the squad for the Argentina game to ensure that no player starts more than three of the four games."

Flood, who has scored 36 points in his seven club appearances this season, was delighted with his call-up.

"I'm over the moon. It's every player's dream to represent their country and hopefully I can make the most of my chance," he said.

The selection of 34-year-old Turner is Robinson's surprise pick, although tight-head cover for Julian White was thin on the ground.

There are no places for World Cup winners Phil Vickery, Lawrence Dallaglio, Steve Thompson and Mike Tindall, who recently began their comebacks from injury, or Joe Worsley, Simon Shaw or Mike Catt.

Injuries have ruled out the likes of Jonny Wilkinson, Steve Borthwick and Olly Barkley.
