Bridgend and Leinster play for pride
Former Cardiff winger Paul Jones
Paul Jones will make his Bridgend debut
Celtic League - Pool B | Bridgend v Leinster | Saturday, 26 October | The Brewery Field | 1430 BST

Bridgend and Leinster will have nothing but pride to play for when they bring the curtain down on their Celtic League campaigns.

With only two wins apiece in the competition so far, neither side has any hope of qualifying for the quarter final stage.

Bridgend were always outsiders to progress, and Leinster's failure can be attributed to the absence of their Irish internationals during Ireland's World Cup qualifiers.

Team news

The home side have made wholesale changes to the side that beat Pau last Saturday.

Paul Jones, who moved from Cardiff during the close season, makes his debut on the wing with Craig Warlow moving to fly-half.

The other change behind the scrum sees Huw Harries staring at scrum-half.

Among the forwards, props Chris Horsman and Phil Booth replace Jon Thiel and Christian Loader.

Mike Powell comes in for Deiniol Jones while Jamie Ringer makes only his second start of the season.

Shawn van Rensburg gets another start at number 8 after impressing in the match against Pau.

Dafydd James, who has been left out of the Wales squad for the November internationals, continues as captain in place of the injured Gareth Thomas.

Leinster, on the other hand, stick to the same XV that demolished Swansea 51-10 in the Heineken Cup last week.
