Long-serving Nottingham back David Jackson has signed a new two-year contract with the Meadow Lane club. The 28-year-old full-back or winger is in his testimonial year with the Green & Whites and has been with with the club since he was eight years old. Jackson has played more than 250 games for Nottingham and is the club's top scorer with 11 tries this season. "Having had some brilliant times with the team over the years I was always eager to stay," Jackson said. Jackson is just six points shy of scoring 750 points in his Nottingham career and could well surpass that landmark in the Championship play-offs, which begin on 12 March. He added: "There's always been a great team spirit here and as we head into the play-offs I'm really looking forward to continuing working with all the coaches for as long a period as I can." Director of Rugby Glenn Delaney added: "David's been an outstanding player for us this season and one of the form players, not just for Nottingham, but throughout the Championship as well."
