Maurie Fa'asavalu is tackled by Charlie Beech at the Emirates Palace
Harlequins scored five tries to ease to an LV= Cup victory over Wasps in Abu Dhabi in the first UK domestic rugby fixture to be played overseas. Karl Dickson, George Lowe and Ceri Jones crossed to help Quins to a 24-8 half-time lead, Tom Varndell replying for Wasps, nominally the home side. Dickson's second gave Harlequins a bonus point, before Joe Launchbury hit back for Wasps. But Quins had the final word, Sam Smith crossing after Tom Williams' long kick. The match was played in perfect conditions on a specially built 5,000-seater stadium in the grounds of the Emirates Palace Hotel. The bonus-point win ensured that Harlequins moved to the top of Pool Four with only one round of games remaining. Both sides were missing a host of star names because they are on international duty ahead of the start of the Six Nations on Friday.
