Springbok coach awaits hearing
Nick Mallett
Nick Mallett oversees training with his national side
A disciplinary hearing into the conduct of Springbok coach Nick Mallett, due to start on Thursday, has been postponed until 27 September.

Mallett's legal team had reqested more time to defend their client over his comments about the greed of the SARFU.

The hearing centres on Mallett's remarks about the high price of Test match tickets.

He was quoted as describing the prices as "absolutely ridiculous" and accused the SARFU of being "greedy".

The Springbok coach later said he was unaware he had been speaking to a journalist when he made the comments.

Things are little better on the field. Mallett's team have lost five out of eight Test matches in 2000.

The Springboks leave on a four-Test tour of Argentina, Ireland, Wales and England on 31 October.
