Jason Robinson played in two World Cup Finals for England
England World Cup winner Jason Robinson says his love of rugby union is the reason he has come out of retirement at the age of 36.
Robinson, who originally retired from the game in 2007, has agreed to play for Fylde in the National League Division Two North next season.
He told BBC Radio Lancashire: "All I've known is rugby since I finished school.
"I've enjoyed the game and shown that over the years. I've got a great passion for it."
Since retiring Robinson had a 14 month spell as Sale coach which ended in April.
He added: "I spoke to Mark Nelson (Fylde head coach) after finishing with Sale and we talked about various things - whether we could do something with the club. He is a very good talker because here I am.
"As one door closes another one opens. It's great not just for the club but for rugby in general and the National Two North.
"For me I need a purpose. I've done Premiership coaching and grass roots coaching but one thing I wanted to do was to be in rugby and this gives me the opportunity to get the boots back on."
