Habana will earn his 58th cap for South Africa at Newlands on Saturday

Winger Bryan Habana is one of six changes as South Africa bolstered their starting XV for the first Test against France in Cape Town on Saturday. Flanker Schalk Burger, centre Wynand Olivier and prop Gurthro Steenkamp missed the 34-31 win over Wales. France flanker Wenceslas Lauret will make his debut but the visitors are without Imanol Harinordoquy, Mathieu Bastareaud and Yannick Jauzion. Francois Trinh-Duc and Morgan Parra have been named as half-backs. Lauret has been rewarded with his first France cap following an impressive season for Biarritz, helping the Basque club to the Heineken Cup final. The 21-year-old pipped Louis Picamoles to the number seven shirt and will line up alongside France captain Thierry Dusautoir and number eight Julien Bonnaire.

606: DEBATE

South Africa coach Peter de Villiers opted to keep Stormers flanker Francois Louw, who made his debut against Wales, in the team alongside club team-mate Burger and Bulls number eight Pierre Spies. "We think that is the best combination," said De Villiers, who has brought back Olivier in place of centre Juan de Jongh, who made his debut in Cardiff. "The space will be less this week and the time will be less so we have opted for experience." Habana, who replaces Sharks wing Odwa Ndungane, will make his 58th international appearance for the Springboks. Meanwhile, Ricky Januarie will once again start at scrum-half with Ruan Pienaar on the replacements' bench.
