Rayer says Bedford have the players to have won their last three games

Bedford Blues will look to end a run of three Championship defeats when Moseley visit Goldington Road on Friday night.

The Blues have named a 22-man squad, and welcome back Gregor Gillanders, Brendan Burke and Mike Howard from long-term injuries.

Director of rugby Mike Rayer said: "We spoke in the week and made it clear that injuries have not been an excuse for the recent results.

"We can't go out and make schoolboy errors like we have been."

He added: "Clearly the group of players that we have used were good enough to beat the Cornish Pirates and Nottingham for sure and probably even Exeter.

In terms of selection we now have the sort of headache that we want, and that's great.

"Of course, that doesn't win the game so now we have to go out there and do the business on the pitch.

"We have to make sure that we defend properly because we didn't do that in the first 30 minutes last weekend."

Duncan Taylor picked up a hip injury during last weekend's game against the Cornish Pirates and now joins Harry Spencer (neck), Mike Guess (ankle), Sacha Harding (broken arm) and Marco Cecere (shoulder) on the injury list.
