Ask Jeremy Guscott

Another weekend, another dismal England performance.

At least England escaped Twickenham with a 16-9 victory against Argentina, but the performance did not pull up any trees, to put it politely.

Wales were similarly relieved to scrape past Samoa 17-13, but so far - Ireland are still to go up against Australia on Sunday - it has not been a weekend to remember for the home nations.

Across the channel, South Africa suffered their second straight defeat of their tour as they lost 20-13 to France.
