England boss Martin Johnson had already released four players on Tuesday.

Locks Richard Blaze and Ben Kay have returned to Leicester, while David Strettle and Steffon Armitage are back at Harlequins and London Irish.

England start their autumn campaign against Australia at Twickenham on 7 November, followed by Tests against Argentina and New Zealand.
