Hill has coached at Gloucester and Bristol
Former Bristol coach Richard Hill is to take over the reigns at French Federal League One side Chalon-sur-Saone.
Hill has signed a two-year contract with the club, who play in the third tier of French rugby.
The former Bath and England scrum-half left the Memorial Stadium in February following six years at the club.
Hill joined Bristol in 2003 guiding them to promotion to the Guinness Premiership in 2005 and a best-ever third place finish in 2007.
The 48-year-old has previously coached at Gloucester, Newport and Harlequins and played 29 times for England.
