Scotland head coach Frank Hadden declined to comment on his future following the 26-12 defeat by England.
"It's not something I'm thinking about at the moment," he told the BBC. "It has been a massive honour and privilege to be involved with the Scotland side.
"This is not the time. Other people will have a say in that matter, so we'll just have to wait and see.
"I thought England played pretty well. We fought tooth and nail for every blade of grass, but it wasn't to be."
Defeat for the Scots meant that they finished a Six Nations campaign with just one victory for the third successive year.
However, Hadden added: "We've made progress. There's a massive issue over preparation time that we and Italy get in comparison to the other countries.
"The players are pretty flat at the moment, we put in an enormous amount of work, but it comes to down to the little margins.
"We had a couple of elementary errors which came back to hurt us.
I'm not sure who would have done better with the players we've currently got
"With 10 minutes to go, we thought we were clawing our way back in. We got ourselves in a position with 10 minutes to go where we thought we had a real chance of winning."
BBC pundit and former Scotland international Andy Nicol believes sacking Hadden would not necessarily improve the Scots' fortunes.
"Three wins in three years, it's tough because of that stat, but I'm not sure who would have done better with the players we've currently got," he said.
"They're moving in the right direction, but they need to hold crucial passes and make key plays work, which isn't happening yet.
"England were the better side throughout. Scotland did a lot of good and had some good line breaks but couldn't hold on to the ball long enough and couldn't get behind the England line to exploit and score points.
"This is the makings of a good England side. They're a good side getting better."
