The Duchy-derby at Polson Bridge was an intense affair
|
Mounts Bay got their first every win in National League One in a tight low-scoring match at Launceston.
Adam Staniforth's penalty in the 15th minute gave Launceston a 3-0 lead, but Dan Hawkes equalised with a penalty of his own seven minutes later.
It was not until the second half that the scorers were troubled again, when Ben Hilton got the match-winning try for Mounts Bay on 52 minutes.
A late Staniforth penalty made for a tense finish but Bay held out.
