Bees captain Rob Connolly on a rare charge against Wharfedale
|
Birmingham & Solihull suffered their worst hammering of the season in a shock, five-try 41-12 National League Two defeat at lowly Wharfedale.
Most of the damage was done in the first half as handling errors and a failure to turn territory into points saw Wharfedale go in 34-9 up.
Wharfedale managed just one more score after the break, Bees replying with the last of Mark Woodrow's four penalties.
Saturday's result leaves Bees in fourth place in the table on 21 points.
They will be hoping to get the disappointment out of their system when they welcome second-placed Launceston to Sharmans Cross Road next Saturday (18 October).
