Border Reivers made a stunning return to the Heineken Cup to claim a precious bonus point victory at Netherdale.
Scott Gray, Nick De Luca and John Dalziel scored first-half tries for the home side, while Calum MacRae converted two and Steve Jones the other.
Ed Kalman and new signing Brendon Daniel crossed for touchdowns after the break, with Jones again on target and Kelly Brown converting the final score.
The Italian visitors could only manage a penalty from Francesco Mazzariol.
The Reivers sent out a warning to group giants Northampton and Biarritz, seizing control of the match right from the off.
Steve Bates' side rattled up 14 points without reply in almost as many minutes.
The power of the Reivers pack was impressive as flanker Gray was driven over the line at the end of a 20-metre rumble.
MacRae calmly added the conversion - then set up the second touchdown for De Luca.
The full-back's sudden change of pace allowed him to shake off his markers, giving De Luca the time and space to skip through.
MacRae put on the gloss with another well-executed kick from an awkward angle.
Parma broke their duck midway through the half with a Mazzariol penalty.
But Reivers were soon back on the offensive and Dalziel was next to get his name on the scoresheet, powering over in a similar style to Gray's opener.
Jones took over the boot duties from hamstring-pull victim MacRae and he proved just as accurate.
MacRae limped off to be replaced by new signing Daniel, who went on to the wing with De Luca dropping to full-back.
Daniel's pace and power was evident as he launched the move which paved the way for the all-important fourth try.
Bruce Douglas and Opeta Palepoi were also involved before prop Kalman ploughed over. Jones banged over the conversion.
The impressive Daniel rounded off the rout, with Brown converting.
