England sevens squad is unveiled
England sevens coach Mike Friday has named the 33 players who will form the 'wider' squad for the 2006/07 season.

The players will train with the 11 core squad players but only be available for four of the eight IRB Sevens events.

The squad includes Worcester's former England A and U-21 winger Marcel Garvey and London Irish and England U-19 winger Dom Shabbo.

The squad will meet for three training sessions before their first tournament, the Dubai Sevens in December.


England sevens wider squad for 2006/07:
Matt Banahan, Chris Brooker, Chris Goodman (all Bath), Ian Grieve, Danny Gray, Chris Hallam (all Bristol), Jack Adams, James Bailey (both Gloucester), Rob Vickerman, Simon Worrell (both Leeds), Tom Croft, Tom Youngs (both Leicester), Shane Geraghty, Dominic Shabbo (both London Irish), David Doherty, Dominic Waldouck (both Wasps), Charlie Amesbury, Chris Robshaw (both Harlequins), Lee Dickson, Eni Gesinde, James Hoyle, Ollie Phillips (all Newcastle), Chris Wyles, Alex Rae, Neil Starling (both Northampton), Will Matthews (Pertemps Bees), Selorm Kuadey, David Tait (both Sale), Donald Barrell, Adam Powell (both Saracens), Will Bowley, Marcel Garvey, Simon Whatling (all Worcester)
