The Southern Hemisphere produced a superb display of attacking rugby to beat the Northern Hemisphere in the IRB Rugby Aid match at Twickenham.
Both sides were committed to playing an open game but the South, with some electric pace behind the scrum, had too much for their opponents.
The teams traded two tries each before scores from Chris Latham and Schalk Burger put the South in control.
And four further tries in the second half sealed a comfortable victory.
Anyone who doubted the commitment of the players for this game would have had their concerns dispelled in the opening moments as both sides took to the task in hand with an impressive level of intensity and pace.
Italian wing Mirco Bergamasco soon realised that he was in a proper game when he was on the receiving end of a trademark tackle from Samoa's Brian Lima.
The South opened up the better side, aided by the constant probing of Australian scrum-half George Gregan, and it was surprising that the sizeable Twickenham crowd had to wait until the 13th minute for the opening score.

Gregan was provider for Lima, whose angle of running split the North defence in two before he played in All Blacks captain Tana Umaga.
New Zealand fly-half Andrew Mehrtens added the extras, the first of six successful conversions, but the North hit back seven minutes later.
Wasps skipper Lawrence Dallaglio showed what England have been missing with a rampaging run and despite being brought down by Chris Latham, he was able to offload to hooker Andy Titterrell who dived over.
Most of the play was coming from South and Lima scored their second try with another superb break from Gregan's pass.
The North though, were always a threat and Ulster fly-half David Humphreys fired an up-and-under to the corner which flying Fijian winger Sireli Bobo failed to deal with.
Bergamasco was able to knock the ball back and Pat Sanderson was in support to pick the ball up and dive over from close range.
Dallaglio had an impressive game for the Northern Hemisphere
The North had no more joy in the first half as the South threatened to run riot and well-worked tries from Latham and Burger gave them a 28-12 lead at the break.
With a raft of substitutions at the start of the second half, the game lost some of its intensity with the crowd deciding to provide their own entertainment.
The South were still dominant and they added to their lead on 52 minutes after some superb skill from Bobo.
He carved his way through the North defence and with a deft one-handed pass, allowed Latham to set up substitute Semo Sititi for a try in the corner.
The North had a brief moment of relief with a Bergamasco try but the South hit back almost immediately when Ben Cohen was deceived by a Mehrtens cross-field kick and Latham touched down for his second.
Cohen was then denied by the video referee before he left the field after taking a blow to the face.
It was one-way traffic in the closing stages as the game loosened up and South African centre Jaque Fourie and Sititi added further scores to complete an emphatic win.
Proceeds from the match will go to the IRB's humanitarian partner, the United Nations' World Food Programme (WFP), to support their vital work in affected areas following the Asian tsunami on Boxing Day.
