All Blacks make wholesale changes
All Blacks skipper Tana Umaga
New Zealand have made seven changes to the side that beat Wales last weekend for Saturday's match against France.

Tana Umaga returns as captain along with scrum-half Byron Kelleher, prop Carl Hayman, hooker Anton Oliver, lock Norm Maxwell and centre Conrad Smith.

Rodney So'oialo will switch from blind-side flanker to number eight.

Centre Umaga, Kelleher, Hayman, Oliver, Maxwell and Smith were all in the starting line-up for the 59-10 demolition of Italy two weeks ago.

New Zealand have defeated France six times in their last 10 encounters including the 2003 World Cup third-place play off.

France have won three matches and the teams drew 20-20 the last time the All Blacks played in Paris in November 2002.

While New Zealand only scraped past Wales 26-25, France lost 24-14 to Argentina last Saturday after defeating Australia 27-14 the previous weekend.

Coach Bernard Laporte will name his team on Wednesday.

New Zealand team: Mils Muliaina; Doug Howlett, Conrad Smith, Tana Umaga (captain), Joe Rokocoko; Daniel Carter, Byron Kelleher; Rodney So'oialo, Richie McCaw, Jerry Collins, Norm Maxwell, Chris Jack, Carl Hayman, Anton Oliver, Tony Woodcock.
Replacements: Kevin Mealamu, Greg Somerville, Ali Williams, Mose Tuiali'i, Piri Weepu, Aaron Mauger, Ma'a Nonu.
