England will begin the defence of their Hong Kong Sevens title against minnows China on 26 March.
The squad, coached by Joe Lydon, retained the title they won in 2002 when they defeated New Zealand 22-17 in last year's final.
New Zealand, the reigning IRB Sevens Series champions and currently top of this season's standings, will face Japan, Italy and the US in their pool.
Argentina are top seeds in Pool E after their win in the Los Angeles Sevens.
Teams knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the main Cup competition will compete for the Plate, while sides eliminated at the pool stages will play for the Bowl.
